Buzzy the Little Blue Bus

In a big city, there lived a little blue bus named Buzzy.

Buzzy drove through the streets every day. He took children to preschool. He took Grandma to the shop. He took Daddy to work.

Buzzy liked to be on time. He drove along steadily, never in a hurry.

One morning, Buzzy woke up early. The sun was still asleep. The city was quiet.

"Beep-beep!" Buzzy hooted happily.

He went to pick up his passengers. First stop — a little girl named Olenka. She was going to preschool.

"Good morning, Buzzy!" Olenka smiled.

"Beep-beep!" Buzzy answered.

Second stop — Grandma Hanna. She was carrying a big bag.

"Thank you, Buzzy! You always come on time," said Grandma.

Buzzy drove on. The road was full of cars. Everyone was in a hurry.

A big red bus shouted, "I go very fast! I am the fastest!"

He beeped and zoomed ahead. He zipped past other cars. He didn't stop at bus stops.

Buzzy drove calmly. He wasn't in a rush. He stopped at every stop.

The red bus was in such a hurry that he drove right past a stop. People waved their arms, but he didn't stop.

"Oh no!" cried the passengers.

But Buzzy pulled up to the stop just in time. All the passengers climbed aboard.

"Good job, Buzzy!" the people praised him.

Buzzy carried people all day. The children got to preschool on time. Grandma got to the shop on time. Daddy got to work on time.

In the evening, Buzzy came home. He was tired but happy.

He settled into his garage. The moon shone through the window.

"Beep-beep," Buzzy whispered softly, and closed his headlights.

The stars twinkled at him from the sky. The city was falling asleep.

Buzzy fell asleep too.
