Once there was a snail named Roman. He never hurried anywhere. While other bugs rushed and cried, "Faster! Faster!" Roman just crept along slowly, looking this way and that.
One day, he saw a tiny bug sitting on a leaf, crying.
"Why are you crying?" asked Roman.
"I'm lost!" sniffled the bug. "I want to go home, but I don't know the way."
"Don't worry," said Roman. "I'll help you."
Roman started to crawl, and the little bug followed.
They went very slowly. Roman noticed everything: an ant carrying a needle, a butterfly on a flower, the sun shining bright.
Suddenly, Roman saw a familiar little path under a pebble.
"This is where your home is," he said.
The bug's eyes lit up. "Yes! I recognize it! Thank you, Roman!"
And off he ran home. Roman smiled and crawled on.
He didn't hurry. He saw everything: the leaves rustling, the sun setting, the stars blinking on.
And Roman knew: sometimes, to help someone, you just need to take your time.
