In a big blue ocean lived a huge whale named Whisper. He was as big as ten elephants, as big as a hundred dolphins, as big as a mountain!
Whisper loved the little fish, the crabs, and the jellyfish. But whenever he swam near, the little ones hid. "Oh, he's so big! I'm scared!" they said. Whisper felt sad. He wanted to play, but everyone was afraid.
One evening, Whisper swam very, very slowly. The water was quiet. Only the moon shone through the waves. The whale thought, "What if I sing? Not loud, but soft and quiet."
He took a deep breath and began. "Ooo-oo-oo-oo-oo…" It was a low, gentle song. It floated through the water like warm milk.
The first to hear was a tiny fish. She stopped worrying and grew still. Then a crab closed its little eyes. A jellyfish began to drift in circles. Even a shark grew calm.
"Ooo-oo-oo-oo-oo…" sang the whale. His song wrapped around everyone. The little creatures swam closer. They weren't scared anymore. They felt cozy and safe.
Whisper closed his eyes and kept singing. The whole ocean trembled with his soft voice. The fish lay down on the waves like little beds. The crabs buried themselves in the sand and yawned. The ocean grew very, very still.
And then — everyone fell asleep. The whale fell asleep too. His big heart beat like a gentle clock.
In the morning, the little fish woke up and saw Whisper. He was sleeping, and they weren't afraid. They swam into his fins like a cozy house. "Good morning, Whale!" they whispered.
And the whale smiled in his sleep. Because he had learned: it's not how big you are that matters, but the song that comes from inside.
