In a tiny forest, nestled among tall pine trees, lived a little bear named Miedok. He loved honey—sweet, golden, and oh so yummy!
One morning, Miedok found a big pot of honey in a hollow tree. My, what a big pot! My, what a tasty honey!
"This is my honey!" said Miedok. "Mine, all mine!"
He carried the pot home and hid it in his cave.
Then came Bunny Hop: "Miedok, let's play hide-and-seek!"
"I can't," said the bear. "I have to guard my honey."
Then came Twit the bird: "Miedok, let's sing songs!"
"I don't want to," grumbled Miedok. "I need to watch my honey."
Then came Squeaky the squirrel: "Miedok, let's pick flowers!"
"No," said Miedok, shaking his head. "I have important work."
So Miedok sat by his honey pot all day. He patted it, admired it, but didn't feel like eating. Somehow, he felt sad.
Outside, his friends were having fun—laughing, playing, running. Miedok heard their voices and sighed.
Suddenly, Miedok understood: honey is sweet, but without friends, even the sweetest honey doesn't taste good!
He picked up the honey pot and ran out of his cave: "Friends! Hop! Twit! Squeaky! Come to me!"
Everyone came running, flying, hopping.
"Let's have honey tea together!" invited Miedok.
He got out five little bowls. He put a spoonful of golden honey in each one. Bunny brought grass, bird brought berries, squirrel brought nuts.
They all sat under the big pine tree. They drank tea, ate honey, laughed, and told stories.
"What yummy honey!" chirped the bird.
"And what fun to be together!" cheered the bunny.
"Thank you, Miedok!" smiled the squirrel.
And little bear Miedok was the happiest in the world. The honey pot got smaller, but Miedok's heart filled with warmth and joy.
From then on, Miedok always shared his honey with friends. Because he knew: true sweetness is friendship!
And every evening, they all gathered together, drank tea, and watched the stars twinkle over their forest.
