Once upon a time, in a little town, there lived a girl named Sunny.
One day, her first baby tooth fell out. Her mom said, "Put it under your pillow. Tonight the tooth fairy will come and leave you a treat."
So Sunny put the tooth under her pillow, closed her eyes, and fell fast asleep.
That night, the tooth fairy went on her very first flight. She was a little nervous. "What if I forget something? What if the child wakes up?"
She carried a tiny bag of coins. But when she flew to Sunny's bed, she saw the little girl was holding the tooth tight in her hand.
"Oh dear," thought the fairy. "How can I get the tooth?"
She gently touched Sunny's hand. Sunny sighed in her sleep and opened her fingers. The tooth fell onto the pillow.
The fairy scooped up the tooth, but a coin slipped out of her bag and rolled under the bed. "Now I have no coin! What can I do?" She felt sad for a moment. Then she smiled. "I can leave a little wonder instead!"
She placed under the pillow something she always carried: a tiny crystal star. She reached out softly and set it on the soft pillow. "May this wonder bring you joy in the morning," she whispered. Then she flew home.
In the morning, Sunny woke up and peeked under her pillow. Instead of a coin, there lay a sparkling crystal star, shining in the sun. She laughed with joy and ran to her mom.
"Mommy, look! The fairy left me a star!"
Her mom hugged her and said, "That is a true wonder. Treasure it."
Sunny put the star on the windowsill, and it glowed all day long.
And from that night on, the tooth fairy always carried not just coins, but also little wonders.
